Top of the RockAdvertisements
At the very summit of New York's Rockefeller Center is the observation point known as the 'Top of the Rock'. Any newcomer to the city would be well advised to pay the Top of the Rock a visit, as it offers unparalleled views of the New York skyline and is usually significantly less crowded than the more traditional tourist vantage point at the top of the Empire State Building. The Top of the Rock is perched atop the stunning Art Deco GE Building - the one-time home of RCA Records and now playing host to the NBC television network - which is locally known as '30 Rock' in reference to its Rockefeller Plaza address. In recent years the whole observation point has undergone extensive renovations, literally decked out in the style of an ocean liner, and has hosted a number of lavish awards parties in association with the National Football league. |
